Industry = Software

Press Release Summary = A powerful, easy and affordable solution for 3D morphing and
3D painting.

Press Release Body = Toronto, Ontario - June 6, 2006 - Blacksmith3D
introduces the latest update to their software line. The update adds new
functionality to it\'s 3D painting capabilities, which includes support for
super-high resolution texture maps (up to 8192x8192 in size). Previously, the
texture size was limited to the maximum texture size supported by the user\'s video
card. Blacksmith3D-Paint now utilizes a new technique that allows it to still
harness the power of OpenGL acceleration, while overcoming the limitations imposed
by the video drivers.

\"The technical advances made in this update put us a position to do so much more
with Blacksmith3D-Paint. Previously, all painting operations where done in video
memory only, imposing limitations on the features that we wanted to employ. Now that
our new technique allows us direct access to the texture memory, the possibilities
are endless.\",
said David Fielder, lead programmer and president of
Blacksmith3D.

Core Features

Blacksmith3D-Morph allows the user to reshape medium and high resolution
polygon models with extreme ease and speed. The soft selection based work-flow makes
it possible to deform models smoothly, creating organic shapes effortlessly without
having to consider individual vertices or polygons.

Blacksmith3D-Paint is a true 3D painting solution, allowing the user to apply
textured brush strokes directly to UV mapped objects. Painting across UV seams is
done effortlessly. With Blacksmith3D-Paint\'s touchup brushes, it is even possible to
blur or smudge a texture across a UV seam.

Compatibility
Since Blacksmith3D-Suite relies heavily on the OpenGL API, and the vast array of
video cards and drivers in the marketplace, it has always been a challenge getting
the software to run consistently on as many hardware configurations as possible. A
great effort has been put forward in this update to increase compatibility with as
many video cards as possible, increasing the pool of potential users.

Pricing and Availability
Blacksmith3D-Morph and Paint are available for $99.95 U.S each. while
Blacksmith3D-Suite, which contains both Morph and Paint in a single product, sells
for $149.95 U.S. . Licenses (which include a serial number to activate the locked
features in the demo), can be purchased on-line at
